"...every day I fall in love with the mountains more and more and, if my studies would allow me to do it, I would spend entire days on the mountains contemplating in that pure air the Greatness of the Creator." - Pier Giorgio Frassati.
In honor of Blessed Frassati, the Italian Alpine Club had the idea of dedicating a mountain trail to him in each of Italy's 20 regions. With the motto of "encountering God in creation," the project was launched. The first trail was dedicated in 1996 in the region where the idea began - Campania. Almost every year afterward, a new trail was completed. Now you can travel throughout all of Italy and find a Sentiero Frassati wherever you go!
