/I/ TO THE TOP WITH BLESSED PIER GIORGIO
Process for Obtaining a Relic of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati

The legitimate acquisition of a second-class relic of Pier Giorgio (like the one pictured here) is possible but the process is lengthy and the relic must be intended for public veneration. Each relic is issued with a certificate of authenticity. A donation is made to cover the cost of the round thecla and the materials used in the preparation of the relic. Please note that neither the Associazione Pier Giorgio Frassati nor FrassatiUSA distributes these relics.

To begin the process, the person requesting the relic must obtain an official letter from the local bishop. This letter should be sent to:

Mons. Marco Frisina
Director of Liturgical Office
VICARIATE OF ROME
Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano, N. 6a
00184 ROME
ITALY

Upon receipt of this letter, a determination will be made as to whether the relic may be issued. The request will then be submitted to the Monastery that prepares the relics. In the case of Blessed Pier Giorgio, it is the Monastero di Santa Lucia (the Augustinian Sisters) located on Via in Selci in Rome.

Once the sisters have the authorization, they will contact the person who made the request and provide information on what is needed (donation, etc.) to complete the process.
